Universal Institute Inc. became a reality in 1989. A long-time
vision come true of Founder Gerard A. Lasso, Universal set
forth from the beginning a rather ambitious goal - to provide
an uncompromising level of intensive and innovative individualized
rehabilitation in a highly-charged positive environment -
and a steadfast philosophy - hard work, dynamic energy and
motivation can empower the body to overcome virtually any
obstacle on the road to gaining its maximum functional potential.
Today, the Livingston, NJ-based Center has strengthened its
original objective and remained unwavering to its basic belief,
in the process of evolving into the word's most challenging,
comprehensive and individualized outpatient rehabilitation
and residential program.
The Universal

What separates Universal from conventional outpatient rehabilitation
programs? At Universal, we instill a greater sense of independence
and self worth and say the possibilities are wide open. The
typical rehabilitation program will focus on making clients
live with their disability and know their limitations. At
Universal, our comprehensive, aggressive regime spans five
days a week. No more will your disability be labeled and your
course of treatment pre-determined.
